In just one month’s time London’s Dance Festival of choice South West Four returns to the glorious Clapham Common over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Set to ignite the world’s clubbing capital once again, South West Four will create history this year by expanding to two explosive days for its first full throttle weekend. Featuring the world’s most exciting DJs, live acts, club nights and electronic music labels, SW4 2010 will provide an unforgettable backdrop for the UK’s most discerning dance music lovers.

And to get you in the mood for the festival the Big Issue are offering a free album download mixed by SW4 artist Paul Oakenfold. Prior to becoming one of world’s greatest DJs, Oakenfold served as an A&R consultant for Def Jam, where he signed artists including Salt ‘N’ Pepa, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith. Oakenfold has continued his huge musical statements through to production with remixes ranging from U2, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and Radiohead. He has performed in many unique locations including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado and the Great Wall of China and following the release of his Greatest Hits & Remixes complication in 2007, Paul was nominated for two Grammys. Recent achievements include his first US residency at the Rain superclub in The Palms Casino, Las Vegas and supporting Madonna on her most recent world tour. One of the biggest names in dance music, the Big Issue is delighted to showcase this exclusive mix before Oakie plays a special ‘homecoming’ set on the glorious green grass of Clapham Common.
